Quintessential Spider-man artists?

I am looking to get into collecting some commissions of the old web head and I would love to hear who you guys and gals think I should commission to draw him for me. Who delivers quality work and preferably open right now? Thanks.

A LOT of the names you're going to hear are likely names that are now out of reach. I'm going to name some (who might be out of reach) that stand out to me.

Erik Larsen
Sal Buscema
John Romita Jr
Mark Bagley

Those names stand out to me (aside from McFarlane and Romita Sr.) and might be attainable with Larsen and Bagley being the two easiest of the four.

Todd McFarlane, but he only takes payments in balls, baseballs.

Ryan Stegman is the greatest spidey artist since William Vuk.

Hmmmm. Availability and access will be your biggest two hurdles. When you see Humberto at a con, Herrera will be next to him, either of those two guys do beautiful Spidey work. Honestly, Babisu Kourtis draws a mean Spidey and for the most part he's always open (on his own now). His rates will be agreeable too. Todd Nauck would be good too, he's a great person, and does a lot of cons.

Tom Lyle did some great Spider-Man work back in the day, and may be available for a reasonable price.
