I proposed to her on Christmas Day three years ago this Tuesday.

My friend had a casino night for her birthday, and I won $200 at Texas Hold 'em.

Wrote a cheque this morning to give half away to a Mental Health Charity I support.

There are a few other things, but they're personal.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Several years ago, one of my friends was really into Lady Death (before Chaos! went under). When he found out that DF was doing a Lady Death lunch box, he wanted me to order one for him. (He didn't have internet and wasn't a weekly, or even monthly, comic shop visitor.) I forgot about it and he was slightly annoyed. So, I found him one on eBay for X-mas.

After I had the lunch box, I ran across an auction for the first set of Lady Death shot glasses, which I won. This was only the second set of these I had ever seen on eBay, and I knew he really wanted them. So, I told his girlfriend what was going on, and she bought the lunch box off me. They went to visit his family for X-mas, and she gave him the lunch box wrapped inside the shipping box I received it in. So he knew where she got it.

When I visited them after they got back, he proceeded to jokingly berate both of us for keeping the lunch box secret from him. At the height of his rant, I told him to "hold that thought" and gave him the wrapped shot glasses. When he unwrapped the box and realized what it was, he sort of went into shock. He never thought he'd actually find that set, and was disturbingly quiet for a good five minutes.

Finally, I looked over at his girlfriend and told her that I thought I might have broken him.
