The sculpt itself is a beast, the dimensions of this dwarf almost the entirety of my collection. The finish on Christian's is one of the very best I've ever seen and his display is second to none.

I was lucky enough to pick one of these up before the degradation of the original molds. If you've seen one in person, then you cant help but be saddened by the commercial piece losing some of it's trademark features.

That is a Mattel Ghostbuster trap to give you a sense of scale. The pole it's displayed on his 6' in length.

I am not familiar with HCGs production pcs at all. I am just a fan of this sculpt (which they dodn't sculpt ). Yes I wanted it to be chronicle with the way they nailed Ed and Cain and their roots to replicas, but just glad SOMEONE is doing it. Also glad that, although the crack is missing, it has still picked up all the small details like the 'cellulite'. So I just hope they get the finish on this one right. I wish I had not seen the Selene bust production pcs That power loader piece Diablo mentioned turned out pretty nice. Hopeully they get the finish on this other high-end piece right.. I certainly remain hopeful

Preordered the regular edition. I'm going to have artist Steve Parke do a complete repaint of it. He does amazing work. Here's a picture of the Black Heat Models Wolfman bust he painted for me. I'll post pics of the completed Slimer! =)

Steve is a nice guy. Met him a couple years back. Great painter.

The regular is just as good. The exclusive is FAR from exclusive. That name plate is pretty weak. I see the regular selling for just as much as the EX down the road on the secondary market. Maybe a couple dollars less like $10.

Anyone here order this? I was hoping for some in hand pics by now. I contacted hcg a couple of months ago and they said the November ship date was still on but obviously something got delayed.

Definitely, I looked at getting the NECA one but it's made of foam so I doubt the details and paint will be anywhere near as good. It is a lot cheaper though.
