I prefer old school wooden knife Blade, and while i'm not quite sure when Biker-blade popped up he did exist before Snipes. I remember him being the biker in leather back in the Spider-Man Animated series and that was quite a few years before the movie.

Before he was a green goggle wearing, wooden knife throwing (w/ a bandolier), brown trench coat-wearing, only immune to vampire bites, guy on a mission, a la Gene Colan Tomb of Dracula era.
Ah, but he’s going to be the MCU Blade now. They’ll have him hit the gym alright. You described the old-school Blade. Don’t be surprised when he’s different in the movies.

My man, speak truth!!! I grew up in the 1960s and 70s and this is the Blade that I know and love!

A la Gene Colan, Tom Palmer and Marv Wolfman!

Let’s hope he’s not! The original Blade was plenty strong and fit!

I’ll watch the old-school or the MCU’ed Blade. Old-school would probably be better I’m sure, I just can’t see them giving him the wood knives when they can cover him with pointless technology like Black Panther.

Oh, it won't be pointless technology...there'll be plenty of "points!"

Who was your first choice? I honestly can't think of anyone else.

Apparently snipes was an absolute douche during Blade 3. They even replaced him with cardboard cutouts and cgi eyes (because he refused to open them). Ryan Reynolds turned up his saracasm when he talked to the cutouts lol.
