Wow those are so precise and well done.

Very sharp especially for pencils that haven't been "cleaned" in a computer.

He definitely has the ability and gets the Transformers look. Bet he could do an awesome Voltron!

It is the cartoon look...just more detailed. Simple geometric block TFs just....needs a little more spice but same design. IA is doing an exceptional job with the first two shown so far. I think you guys may also be looking at this from a TF toy size perspective and not from how big they really are. Soundwave crunched over a little bit is 18" and may be even bigger. So overall we are looking at a good 22" statue. That will look so much more impressive than a toy at that size.

Dan Khanna is a great artist and a top bloke as well.

Though I think this Soundwave is sticking a little too closely to the Masterpiece figure.

The details and aesthetics are fine, I just think some of the "joints" and in some respect, lack of joints stands out.

This isn't a figure that will need to transform, nor is it something that needs real world joints to pose.

Take Rumble/Frenzy for example: He doesn't need the indentation in the back of his leg (for the cassette holes), the back of the leg can be solid and look like a real leg or his torso doesn't need to be so upright, we could bend it so he is leaning over his pile drivers a bit more. The shoulders don't need to have the full hinge look, they can look like real shoulders, that's the beauty of statues, we can suspend disbelieve that these can actually transform.

Still no doubting the artwork and the talent being used and I guess my improvements are all personal preference. As I said I'm loving the details, I just think Rodimus strikes that balance a little better.

These hopefully will stand apart from the toys like the MP line and the huge titan class devestator otherwise with so much coming out I don't know if I want to commit to a entire new line even if it's G1. I love G1 more than anything but If the size and the extras temp me then I sure will. This has to be over the top for me now and not just because it's g1. This is due to so much new items coming and space is already tight. I hope IA makes these so well that I must get them all. Challenge us all IA Make us all really need and want these. If these don't impress me I will just be happy with my TF toys. This is what happens when the market saturates with so much stuff that collectors are now forced to cut things out somewhere.

Soundwave's looking great so far.

I still think Rumble/Frenzy is looking a little stiff.
