I think it's nice statue, but they should have sculpted his uniform

This project really is the mess that won't stop giving. Such a wasted opportunity as well, using a great sculptor to make this by hand and then completely burying the sculpt by using fabric. Not to mention pricing this thing at 2k since if you're using fabric to make the piece which loses the sculpted detailing then you might as well save on materials and use fibreglass, or pvc or foam for the body for better pricing.
Ell, and I think enough has been said on how under-sized and uninspired this is so i'll refrain from going down that road. I really do miss the days where I waited anxiously to see what project SS were working on next instead of seeing yet another awful example of uninspired overpricing such as this.

I would have bought full sculpted one . Sideshow can keep Pajama Spidey. It’s terrible

I have owned so many, many SSC PFs so many were awesome pieces with cloth mostly Star Wars. SSC GG in 2007 noticed that sculpt was awesome but how cloth on him didn't work. SSC was smart few years ago to make a new rule that pieces could be either cloth or sculpted. Pieces like these LSF should have cloth.

The classic eyes look horrible to me. I think the original statue could have benefited from a darker blue, better base, and more detail. I don’t even mind the cloth but I think the cloth could have been done better with more separate section and gluing and shading on the cloth like they did old school Batman PF.
The variant in complete black doesn’t even make sense. Are they thinking Spider-Man 3? Because otherwise the all black has no basis in anything.
Shout out to OG Psylocke there in the background lol

Cloth is always tricky. Can look great in the beginning but it deteriates
For spidey you know they got lazy
If you take of that costume it’s going to look like a Macy’s mannequin
So you paid $1500 easy for a high end midget Halloween costume

Depending on the quality of the cloth it can deteriorate within a few years... I've seen Lara Croft statues with the material starting to fall apart on her shirts, I've also seen elastic bands that lose their elasticity.... If your mix media last more then 10-15 years your doing good...

I see two variants and the original on the right. Unless I'm the one missing something...(and I darn well could be, wouldn't be the first or last time)
