How do I frame posters properly?

I was cleaning out my closet and I found this packet of Artgerms posters I bought several years ago. I figured I better frame them before they get messed up...

I don't have a clue about properly framing stuff, so I was wondering if someone could help me out here... The posters are 16 1/2" x 21 1/2", that's from edge to edge on the white paper.

Here's a picture of one of them

I thought it might look cool to go with a white frame and white boarder inside something similar to this

Any thoughts or advice? Or even a better idea on how to frame them?

thanks

Online framing companies are pretty good.

All you have to do is measure the area (length, width) of your art print. Take into account what you want on show and what, if any, you want hidden behind the border.

That was my approach to framing my Mr. Freeze

I looked on the Sideshow website for inspiration. The plan was to have the art on show, with a 10mm white border around the edge, and calculated length so that the signature at the bottom would be in view.

The black frame width is 4cm
The black border overlay is 5cm

White looks good. The overlaid looks odd in that shot, as the sides look narrower than the top and bottom?
It might be the result of lens distortion?

I would check Michael’s to see if they might already have some pre-matted frames that those would fit in. From the example you showed it looks like you might want to go for somewhat of a gallery lock and that might be a good place to check because you can achieve that look but not pay the costs of having it professionally done

Something else I would be in option if you did go to Michael’s would be to find a frame large enough to fit the print and have them cut a mat to size if they don’t have anything pre-matted

Anything pre-matted will most likely not be acid free. Just mentioning that because the prints will yellow over time.

You could buy 18x24 ready made frames and have Michael’s cut acid free matting and acid free foam board backing to fit. Probably the least expensive option that will not hurt your prints.

No problem. I’m not sure how long it takes for the reaction in the paper.

I found an online frame shop, all their matting and materials are acid-free, the frames with UV protection glass and 1.5" mat were $115, they wanted additional $150 for museum glass, I didn't think the museum glass would be worth the extra money...
