Inconsistent quality, usually produce some "jaw-dropping" sculpture, like the Punisher in Marvel Icon Bust line, low character variety, incredibly high edition size on some fair looking piece, etc...
I'm not discouraging you from buying DST cuz they still got some great stuff that's worth buying... Anyway, think twice before you buy any DST product...

Yep, I'm glad I built my house BEFORE I discovered this hobby or I'd probably be living in a teepee by now

A teepee with a pretty cool statue collection, that is

Welcome to credit card bills with high interest rates.

Welcome to company coming over and saying "Oh how nice....who is it?".

Welcome to the voice in your head saying "Why did I buy that?"

my tips are to find a high paying job, and remodel your home for more space because you'll need both! $$$$ and space !!

Avoid using credit cards to fund your collection unless you can pay the balance in full each month.

DST makes some great stuff, some of my favorite pieces in fact. The line just doesn't always produce as consistently has BD, HH and SS, but it does have its home runs.

So true!!

And welcome to people saying "you paid how much for that thing??"

and to people coming in your room and saying "so you collect toys huh"

and to becoming more and more cunning in ways to talk your girlfriend around what you paid for a piece

and to the game 'guess what's new' where you take the gf in your room after you placed a new piece and she, while faking intrest, has to find wich piece it is.........

A good example of how the gf has absolutley no intrest in this hobby is when I took her (no pun intended) in my room to guess what's new. I had just recieved the Wolverine and Iron man comiquettes and placed them. It took her minutes to find the Iron man...and the thing was on the table in the middle of the room...on an automatic rotating display!! True story!
After that she noticed the Wolverine to...
