Yeah 13th Warrior blows it away. Outlander has a sci-fi angle to it too. I thought it was decent but nothing to get excited about. Felt like a small step above a SyFy Channel original movie.
The Sean Connery film you speak of was Outland Tony. Decent film too but its been years since I've seen it.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Outland, that's right! I really need to see 13th Warrior again, I'm so curious after all this talk about it.

You'll love it, I'm positive.
Concerning The 13th Warrior I remember thinking after first seeing this that Vladimir Kulich (Builwyf) would have made a perfect Thor and Dennis Storhoi (Herger) a perfect Fandral.

Yes it does have a 13th Warrior feel to it but they're a lot different. There were no alien creatures or spaceships in 13th Warrior. I've been hearing about it for a while and had a couple people tell me how good it was so I gave it go last night. We and my wife both liked it. I gotta get her to watch Pathfinder next.

I had no idea he was in Smokin' Aces too. Though I'm not surprised I missed him as I don't remember much about that film other than I thought it was pretty terrible.

Man, the last movie I saw in the theater with my wife was probably Pathfinder. We just don't get out much anymore.
