I think the Bowen sculpt is better, but I think the paint job on SS gives more contrast

Bowen for me. The major issue I have with the SS version (not thinking of surfer) is the mouth. Its very monkey like.

Bowen is clearly the better piece imo.
SS's is nice but Bowen's is just too good to pass up.
Besides, you barely see Hulk's face in the Sideshow dio and SS's head is totally covered by the board. The piece shouldve been composed better.

I see what everyone is saying about display options being trouble - but in defense, no one has it in person yet. Maybe it won't be such a pain to display...

Both are very very good. Both are different styles, ie action and museum. Not a fan of the look of Planet Hulk but I think that the Bowen Hulk is sightly better BUT NO WAY is the Bowen version worth that price. Therefore taking price into account I would go for the diorama.

Bowen's sculpt is fantastic, but for the money, I will be picking up the Sideshow version. I like that Sideshow paid attention to the artist's rendition of Hulk during that battle. Some may not like his face in the SS sculpt, but it fits more with that particular comic page art.
A little variety is a good thing. I already have Bowen Retro green, Retro grey, and Maestro coming. Bowen Planet Hulk would be too similar to those stances.

bowen's cost $266 shipped. SS comes to around $325 shipped. i took a poll on another forum and it was overwhelmingly in bowen's favor. i canceled the ss exclusive and ordered the BD. although i like the surfer, the SS dio hid his face behind the board and there was something about the flailing in the air, back foot that wasn't pleasing to the look of the piece. BD's base is just outstanding as well!!

It's nice to see both statues together and observe the similarities and differences between both. It seems that Randy's has a more "real" feeling while the one from SS tried to be more accurate to the scene in the comic.
I agree with Bullseye the price is a little higher but I still prefer Randy's between the two.
