Yup, checked my order status and got the same "preparing to ship." I usually get my statues from Sideshow a day after it ships, can't wait!!! This will be my first Star Wars statue.

Interesting that it looks like the intact helmet is also a little distressed- which I don't recall being the case in the solicitation photos.
In trying to gauge whether I could be satisfied without the EX head, I always saw the regular helmeted option as looking a little incongruous given the lack of distress compared to how tore up the rest of his costume was.
(OK, I see now it was- just not painted to stick out as much.)
I agree that the smart money would be to cancel and wait for a deal at some distant point in the future- but , doggone it, I still dig the look of this quite a bit.
I'm down to my last several POs and this is still one I'm most enthusiastic about.
Haven't gotten my notice from SSC yet, but I didn't order until July, so I may be looking at a second or third batch before they get to my #.
