So after pretty much quitting collecting for about 2 years I was bit by the collecting bug again recently. I used to collect a lot of movie and horror based Sideshow stuff but what has brought me back in this time is the Marvel stuff... oh the beautiful Marvel Premium Formats. I'm collecting some horror stuff too but will mostly be focusing on Marvel for now.
My collection doesn't even come close to what I've seen on here but I wanted to start this thread to mostly track the Marvel stuff as I play catch up. Anyway, I'll start by posting an older pic with what I pretty much left my collection looking like 2 years ago. I still have this stuff... but yeah.. it got moved over a little bit and that will be in the next post. This shelving will be used for Marvel Premium Formats (and a few comiquettes) as I get them.
To make room for what's coming I moved this stuff over to these Detolf-like cabinets behind the bar. This is probably where I'll try to confine all the movie based stuff until it gets too cramped.. hopefully not for a while!
...And here's my shopping list. Some of it is just unrealistic though. Like, I won't pay the going rates for Doom or Captain America no matter how much I want them. So, for some I'll hope that I can find them for a steal, or another release of the same character that will look as good. Figure I'll update the thread as I go.
Premium Format #2 - Man-Thing (actually a comiquette but whatever)
Found Man-Thing at my LCS too, I think only Hulk might top this statue. He is massive. He's not extremely tall but he makes up for it by being so wide. Light up feature in his eyes is cool too. The button is hidden at the top of the base so it's really easy to turn on/off. This is my favorite statue out of them all right now.
Great collection, one question..... Is the PF Mystique sculpted under her clothing?
Don't want to sound a pervert but I love the statue but hate the cloth. I'd display her nude if all's well inside her trousers.
Think so, looks like it but I don't want to wreck her pants. Around her ankles and hips the sculpt and paint seems to keep going. Dunno for sure though.
