I can't imagine Ethan would like that very much and it may result in either artwork being completed or refunds being issued.

Also could post blank commissions on CAF. and explain the theft

To summarize what many of us are getting at -- you WILL NOT get your art or a refund from him unless you resort to drastic tactics that tell your story to the world. (And a refund is probably out of the question). Emailing him will not resolve anything as it will just be more of the same.
This is really an awful situation for all those involved. My only interaction with him was at a show and I got my piece during that time. Just reading others stories makes me want to sell it.

Just an update. I did receive my refund from Ethan. He told me he would get to the piece in a week, two rolled around and still nothing. At that point I think he knew I'd had it and he refunded me right away.
This whole situation was just a big headache and I'm just so relieved to have gotten my money back. For anyone still waiting, I'd suggest just get a refund. Whatever art you get will not top all the stress you have had in the year(s) you waited. EVS I think is a good guy at heart, he just bites off WAY more than he can chew. Perhaps he should not accept payment for commissions up front, as he doesn't seem very motivated to do them at all. There's always something else going on. There's no excuse for not answering messages and keeping people updated. I love his art but I will never commission him again. I'm even avoiding books with his art in them because it just gets to me a bit, and that's very unfortunate.

Congrats SH. A refund is probably the best resolution as I doubt you would have kept the art given the drama associated with it.

Thanks. Yes, it really was the only option at that point unfortunately.

I wonder how many people just give up and let EVS keep the money he stole?
