Statue Sales and Shipping
statue resell has tanked
GREEDY SHIPPING companies have jacked up shipping what 10 X from when I started in 05.
I have statue I have to pay the person to take 1/4s
200.00 to 500.00 to ship most of these. Most all I get are flakes, that's not new but now about all you get now., Sold 2 statues in 1 year made some on one 400.0 bath on the other.
just had a dude who wanted a statue. I checked on shipping was like 200.00 for 20lbs statue and figure he didn't want it, he didn't respond to my email
most do this they find out the shipping and bail.

A company like SideShow will always have better shipping rates than we normal folks. Trying to ship something as a normal person is costly nowadays.

The aftermarket for figures feels really dead to me because of the shipping too. People only seem to be willing to buy things that have free shipping or some flat rate low shipping cost. They would rather have hundreds of dollars baked into the price upfront than see a figure $200 cheaper with $150 in shipping. Most of the interested buyers for these products seem to be overseas now and there is just no way they can justify the expenses it takes.

That's why I don't bother much buying/selling in aftermarket. Just not worth it anymore.

This is what I'm seeing, too. PFs ship for roughly $30 to $65. Mostly via UPS, the few times Fex Ex were used they were still comparable. From Sideshow directly and from other collectors across the country.

Maybe Sideshow's packaging is more concise? I'm seeing statues around the 1/4th scale sometimes hitting anywhere from $70 to $150 in shipping. It can be pretty miserable.

Haven?t had any issues selling through eBay and shipping UPS ground. Sold 9 1/4 scales late last year. Shipping was pretty reasonable even out to Cali. I think I shipped XM Iceman to Cali for around $160.
