Im a dc guy all the way...years ago the dc statues were not that great... so i went nuts and bought alot of bowens... ALOT of bowen marvels.. not even knowing about the hero or villlian.

Then i decided to make my own vision of conversions from the bowen marvel statues.. buy getting damaged statues and custom them to Dc

I did all the paint work.. but spent lots of loot to have the custom resculpt done.

So even if he got a full blown dc license.. id just stay away.. not falling in the trap... and spending and putting in a whole.

The re sell value on bowens suck..and only a few hold there value

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Few? More like dozens and those are worth 2-5x their original price. We'll see in the long run for tweener pieces.

There is more to collecting than re-sell. Investment or not. Hobbies are not for profit. To each their own.

I disagree completely. There are many worth way more than you paid and 99% you can get close to your money back. I am not looking to make money on mine cause I will never sell but Bowen overall are great statues that hold their value well

I agree xforce.

In the past 12 months I sold about 15-20 Bowen full-size statues to fund new purchases from Chronicle Collectibles and other companies. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not lose money on a single statue, not one! An important factor is that I did get decent deals when I acquired the pieces; anywhere from 10-30% off. But still the majority of the Bowens I sold I wound up making a couple bucks on, while some I just broke even.

No body can. Lavish $1,000 a piece items does not make for a reasonable collection.

Plenty more people will come to realize this with time.

I not so interested if it is Bowen but I wish someone would pickup the 1/6 slack, get a bunch of different artists to do comic accurate statues, and go deep within the character catalog.
