Tom, can you believe it's been over 10 years since thay went down???

quick recap: WCW's Bash @ the Beach 2000 Vince Russo (a former writer for WWE Attitude) shoots on Hulk Hogan about the WCW World Heavyweight Championship after Jarrett was forced to lay down for Hulk Hogan:

Here's what he said, (edited):

"There's only one way for me to do this, and that's to tell it like it is. Three week's ago I left WCW (pause) Three week's ago I left WCW, and quite frankly I didn't know if I was going to come back. And the reason I didn't know if I was going to come back or not was because from day one that I've been in WCW, I've done nothing, nothing, but deal with the B.S. of the politics behind that curtain. The fact of the matter is, I've got a wife, I've got three kids at home and I really don't need this mess. But let me tell you the reason why I did come back. I came back for everyone of the guys in that locker room that week in, week out bust their butts for WCW. I came back for the Booker T's, I came back for every single guy in MIA, I came back for the animals (referring to Ray Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and Konnan), I came back for Jarrett, I came back for the guys behind that curtain that give a crap about this company. And let me tell you who doesn't give a crap about this company. That no good politician Hulk Hogan. Cause let me tell you people what happened out here earlier in the ring. All day I've been playing politics with Hulk Hogan, cause Hulk Hogan wants to play his creative control card. And to Hulk Hogan that meant tonight in the middle of this ring, even though he knew it was B.S., he beats Jeff Jarrett. Well guess what, Hogan got his wish. Hogan got his belt, and he went home and I promise everybody or I will go in the gosh dern grave, you will never see that piece of garbage again! But I also sat out there with the people just like you. I know you paid good to come here tonight, no one is going to be ripped off here tonight. So Hulk Hogan now has the WCW Belt. Now Hulk lets refer to that belt as 'The Hulk Hogan Memorial Belt' cause from here on in that belt don't mean crap! Because there will be a new WCW belt and as far as I'm concerned that belt still belongs to the one guy that busts his tail week in and week out and you people can love him or hate him, but he doesn't mess up anyone back there, and that's Jeff Jarrett. Now wait a minute. Jeff Jarrett is still the official WCW Champion, but he will defend that title in this ring tonight. And he will defend that title against that son of a gun back there that for fourteen years has busted his butt in WCW but can't get a gosh dern break because of the Hulk Hogan, and I am talking about Booker T. Booker T. and Jeff Jarrett are the two reasons I am in this dang business to begin with. So tonight in this ring, two deserving guys, Jarrett and Booker, will compete for the WCW Title. And Hogan you big bald son of a gun, KISS MY BUTT!"

However, Hulk Hogan's Attorneys told WCW that they were not to mention Hulk Hogan's name on WCW Television

After that, Hulk Hogan filed a lawsuit against Vince Russo for Defamation of Character, Russo claims the whole thing was a work (with both Hogan and Bischoff in on the deal). Hogan claims (in his autobiography, "Hulkamania") that Russo made it a shoot; but accused then-WCW head Brad Siegel of double-crossing him

and years after that Hulk Hogan's lawsuit was dismissed

and now, 10 years after the event happend:

Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, Jeff Jarrett & Vince Russo are all in TNA Wrestling

and that's your look back at one of the most controversial moment in the history of Professional Wrestling.

If you ask me it was all a total work.

yeah, you would think that. TNA would really be better off without Russo, and Bischoff. Probably Hogan too...but he is still has then ame recognition...but honestly, what is he really doing for them. He doesnt go to live events...cant do anything in the ring....and shows up twice a month to work the mic. Seems like a bad investmnet.

TNA lost me with their overuse of the word "asshole". They are trying too hard to intentionally not be PG rated. Plus they are crapping ont he X-Division...which is the one thing they had going for them over the WWE....and they screwed up their knockouts division too.

I agree with you, and I would also like to add Mike Tenay of things that I do not like about TNA.
I just cannot stand him. I swear he must have money or some sort of dirt on someone for him to keep his job there.

For the love of god someone with money step in, pay what ever Paul Heyman wants and get them going on the right path.

Heyman would clean house.....and likely bring in Brock, lol.

Dixie needs to cut bait on the ex wcw guys and pursue some Ring of Honor talent.

Spike is changing their broadcasting format so both UFC and TNA might need new networks to call home.

That entire thing was a work. That's why as soon as they did the they had there stupid Millionares club with all the old school wrestlers being put down cause they were only in it for the check.

Vince Russo is as much of a cancer to wrestling as Vince McMahon.

And Heyman would just end up making ECW 3 in TNA andand that would fail as well. TNA needs to stick with the x division and make the other stuff 2nd.

And I've always said women in wrestling should only be valets to wrestlers. If I want to see chics all over each other I'll go in to my vast quantity of porn and watch it there.

Lots of heads rolling in WWE offices today...

So far Melina, Gail Kim, Vladimir Kozlov, Chris Masters, and David Hart have all been "future endeavored".....

I hope Eve gets the boot and Natalia dodges the bullet.

Why keep Santino? He isnt much more than Eugene 2.0

If I ran wwe I would have fired like 90% of the roster.
