Creed - 6.5/10

Decent and clever continuation of the Rocky series. Stallone is great as usual, as is Michael B Jordan. More character drama than boxing movie but that's not a bad thing and is in line with the rest of the series save a few of the more outlandish entires. Probably my fourth favorite in the series behind Rocky, Rocky 2 and Rocky Balboa.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I was used to the humor this time around. I went in expecting the movie to be a big comedy and that's what I got. The story was weaker than in the first film though and I didn't get the sense that it was part of something larger like many of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. 7/10

Both enjoyable and a blast from the past.
"Blast from the past" is right! Time After Time is a favorite of mine.

Alien Covenant 8.5/10

Not the sequel I was expecting or would have liked to see, but very interesting and multi-layered movie.
More questions than answers, but maybe all will be revealed in "Awakening"...?

Hidden figures 7/10 good movie, very inspiring. Didn't like the fact they added a bit more drama to it than real life , but still the hurdles that these women overcome would make most of us just curl up and give up.

John Wick - 9/10

One of the very best action films of the past decade. Highly stlylized and full of some of the most well choreographed gun fight scenes ever put to film. In addition to that John Wick has a heart which adds a fair amount of weight to the title character's relentless pursuit of vengeance.

John Wick: Chapter 2 - 8/10

Very satisfying sequel to what easily could've been a one and done film. While not quite as intense or unique as the original it's still a great action pic in it's own right. Most if not all of the areas left open for expansion in the original were covered nicely. Lots of room for future growth should the series continue.

Alien Covenant: This is a direct sequel to Prometheus but this time there is no doubt it's links to the Alien franchise. This is one bloody movie and I'm looking forward to the next instalment. 7/10
