RIP Al Williamson

It's being reported around the traps that Al Williamson has passed away at the age of 79.

Rest in peace, Mr Williamson. Your work will never be forgotten.

Man, I hate to hear that. It seems like the comics industry has lost a lot lately.

I came to know and love Al's work when his adaption of The Empire Strikes Back was released. I was ten years old and enthralled. A top notch artist who touched a lot of lives... he'll be missed.

I hope it's not true although there've been so many great creators pass away in the past few years

After hearing other reports of wrongful twitter posts regarding Russell Crowe's "death" this week, I'm waiting to see some sort of "official" or formal news post. But I'm not confident *sigh*
