New Daughter 7/10
From Paris with Love 8/10

Both were enjoyable, yet very predictable.

Yeah I agree thats probably his best performance overall but as a film I can think of 2 or 3 of his that I like better.

He's a great actor . . . his best characters seem to be his worst characters if you know what I mean (American Gangster and Training Day). I love seeing actors playing characters that are the polar opposite to what they have typically done in the past. Kevin Costner in 3000 Miles to Graceland is another classic example. Who'd have thought Kev could be such a nasty piece of work

Suspiria (1977) - 4/10. Ugh, what in the hell did I just watch? This is a prime example of style over substance - it's a creepy film, great cinematography, but wtf??? And the soundtrack was completely overwhelming... subtlety, gentlemen, subtlety.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

awwww, Dario Argento is one of my favourite directors, I adore Suspiria (including the Goblin soundtrack). Sorry you didn't like it overall but at least you found merit in the amazing visuals

Tykho Moon 9/10
The best film of the brilliant comic artist-writer/filmmaker Enki Bilal.

Nigh----ching 9/10
Greenaway at his most accessible, most enjoyable film he's made since The Pillow Book.
