Absolutely unquestionable was The Red Skull. He even referenced being consumed by the teseract during the Captain America: The First Avenger movie.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking too when I read the article.
I like the theory though.

I don't see it being Nebula controlling the gauntlet. It has to be someone fairly strong and invulnerable. We see how much "pain" Thanos goes through when he puts a gem on the gauntlet so if it could hurt him, imagine what it could do to Nebula.

As much as I'd love to see that, it'd be a little cheap. A new character we've only just met turning up and saving the day.
I know they have Danvers flying in from wherever she's been, but at least she'll have had her own movie by Avengers 4.

If this Loki as Banner theory is correct, I will eat my hat. People are reaching too far here I think.

Whatever the explanation for the Hulk’s characterization in the movie, it failed on-screen for me. Hulk came across as scared and cowardly and completely unwilling to help his fellow Avengers in the ultimate fight he was needed for. I certainly hope that the next movie does a really good job spinning this into something that is a palatable answer to the question of why the Hulk is afraid. The Hulk/Banner power struggle doesn’t work much for me as the Hulk would eventually come out and fight. It looks like there are deleted scenes where Hulk does break out of the HB armor which just leaves me wondering even more why they scrapped the idea. The Loki idea has some potential but seems more like a fan plot explanation. If it is Loki, it would totally explain why the Hulk was afraid.

But there's still no need for him to do it. He's wearing the armor because it's been established that the Hulk isn't coming out to play. If someone kept bugging him about when he's going to change, it would make sense, but that wasn't the case.
