Looks like you are set unless you want one 52 and two 58mm UV or Sky filters to protect each lens.

Oh, and unless you have one already, you may want to look into a LowePro gadget bag. Best Buy has one that comes with a 52mm UV filter and extra battery.

I just updated my message adding the gadget bag. Also, an extra battery wouldn't hurt.

My suggestion would be to skip the Sigma 28-70 and sell the kit lense after you get the camera. The kit lenses normally goes for about $100. With the savings I would look on CL for a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 or Sigma 24-70 f2.8. They normally sell for around $400 Canadian so I would guess they could be less in the US. You would get the same range coverage for around the same price.

Another great buy is the Canon 17-85mm. The lense normally retails for about $500-700 but you can get new ones or fairly new ones on CL for about $350. They came with the 40D and 50D as a kit lense and many people sell them immediately upon getting the camera. It is a great walk around lense with good range coverage and good picture quality.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

The 17-85mm is what I have and use. It's a good all purpose lens that takes great pictures. It's what I take my statue pics with and my closeup outdoor pics with as well. I eventually want to move up but for now it's doing what I want it to.

Zombie just purchesed the camera off amazon. He was able to get a free trail of amazon prime, which means Zombie should have most of what he bought by the end of the week (a few things where not sold by amazon them selves, so they did not quilify for amazon prime shipping)

EXCITED!!!!!
