Also I thought the online multiplayer was supposed to put 8 players together to pull off a heist and then they can backstab each other and steal their share. So they work together to rob and then betray to get more cash.
Maybe that is a different game I am thinking of.

If they fail to add co-op in a game that is obviously (supposed to be) made for it, then I fail to buy it. Especialy with better co-op games out there and about to be released.
Your not mistaken about the other part though. There is a multiplayer mode (fragile alliance) wich is indeed the pulling a heist and being able to backstab each other and stuff. Sounds pretty cool but not enough to sell the game. And like I said, havent read em yet but the reviews arent supposed to be that promising.
If you want a co-op type game like this one, Army of two is your game
