Chuck's Pics

Well, as I've finally gotten some good glass, I thought it was a fitting time for thread-age. I've been shooting with the kit lens + a Sigma 55-200 (good, considering it's $150) for about a year now, with the nifty fifty thrown in for good measure.

It's sorta been 'paying my dues', as I feel much better shelling out for good glass, knowing what to look for in a lens, and more importantly-- how to use it.

My kit lens replacement will arrive this week, Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 EX Macro. My nifty fifty will stay in the bag for low (LOW) light, and my telephoto was recently upgraded to 70-200 f/4L, which I'm in love with:

It's put my little old 350D to another level. Very pleased.

And of course here's some of the old stuff:

Have a collectibles Flickr group linked in my sig (which I just discovered was linked to the wrong thing this whole time! yikes), would love to see any of you guys there some time.

Cheers

Well I should throw at least one landscape in there. Not very interesting at this size though. At 100% even the little rivets are in the silo thing are tack sharp:
