Question
Do we need to put glass on screen prints?
I don't really care about dust i can clean em
Anybody think glass makes it look better?, dark room plus led lighting might make it look nicer, but I'm not sure.
I can get non glare glass but i think i prefer no glass, I think
Im getting all my stuff framed tomr
Any input would be a large help

The point of putting art behind glass is to protect it from UV light. The plexi and glass that framers use usually blocks up to 97 - 99% UV light. The more UV that hits the paper the quicker it will yellow and age.

It's more of a long term concern. Unless you plan on shining that LED light on it 24/7, I am sure it will be okay.
It's a little more expensive, but museum glass will be your best bet if you want the appearance of no glass and are still interested in preserving the print.

I know what you mean about glare, but I really do like to see my art behind glass. And aside from the UV, it does still protect it from dust and all the other 'crap' in the air. We keep our home fastidiously clean, but it never ceases to amaze me how much dust and stuff builds up in a short period of time.

Once you use museum glass you won't want to use anything else.
