I used to eat them back in high school - haven't had one in years. I remember when they announced that Hostess was going out of business and people started buying them in droves...

I couldn't figure out why? I knew they would be back.

I remember eating Twinkies, Gansito (tasted great cold), Suzy-Qs, Ho-hos, Zingers, Hostess apple and peach fruit pies, and chocolate cupcakes. I even remember the TMNT pudding pies! I gobble those up like there was no tomorrow as kid but now as an adult, I don't eat them anymore because I became more health conscious.

Speaking of foreign desserts, a grocery store not too far from where I live has an international food section and they carried a dessert called "Spotted Dick". I thought the name was absolutely odd yet quite amuing. I didn't try it though because I have seriously cut down on consuming so much sweets.

Ironically, a lamington is a little like a Twinkie. It's a piece of cake (sometimes filled with cream) and then covered in chocolate and sprinkled with coconut. It's an aussie tradition



Yup. Tried Jujyfruits once and never again.

As for Dr. Pepper, I wouldn't be surprised if prunes were an ingredient. Prunes and sports socks.

Funnily enough, I had spotted dick once . . . but a dose of penicillin cleared it right up

Not sure. Speaking of China has anyone tried chicken feet? I guess the taste was ok but I got the weirdest feeling I was eating someones stir fried hand. Couldn't finish. Basically all skin anyway.
