What's the deal with Downtown Abbey???
I've been hearing quite a bit about this series lately, and from what I've been hearing it's supposed to be pretty great, and developing quite the following.
Anyone here seen this, and if so what's the word?

I've never seen it, but my wife loves it.
And bye the bye, it's Downton Abbey, not Downtown Abbey
Downtown Abbey sounds like it might be about a couple of tough talking nuns who double as private dicks in their spare time

It is an amazing show! My wife and I liked it so much we bought the first two seasons on DVD. It is a historical drama set in England in the early 1900's. Season one starts the day the Titanic sinks and ends at the start of WW1. It follows the lives of a wealthy family and servants that live in Downton Abbey. We really like it and recommend it to all our friends. You should check it out. JMO.

Didn't you know, they changed the title a bit to sell the show stateside. People kept complaining they left the "W" out.
I bet you if it were spelled my way, and fit your description, you would not miss an episode!

Ive heard great things about this series - tried to watch it, moved a little slow for me, so I aborted. May give it another shot though...
I just like English humor, English drama, etc. So it might be worth it....
