Star Wars Episode VII vs Titanic & Avatar!
So... i really like to play This games...
This is the current list
FF 7 and Jurrasic World were for me big supprises that they made it so far up. Personally I don't think Star Wars 7 will have any problem in becoming the new nr 3 in record time. But the question is will it have enough muscle to sink Titanic and even take down Avatar!..
What you guys think!??...

I think it will finish out #2 all-time. The ONLY thing holding it back is the time it is being released. I think it's second weekend could end up being as big as opening weekend, which never happens. People will have a lot more free time after Christmas, kids off school and the movie will have tons of repeat viewings from those of us who are going the first week.

Yeah the Avatar Numbers are huge, but I dont Remeber Avatar having This Box Office hype regarding the tickets. People are Talking about tickets being sold out weeks into the future.. At least here in Sweden

It boils down to how enjoyable the movie is. If it lends itself well to repeat viewings. No doubt it will draw all age groups in.
Just some info regarding Star Wars movies and their worldwide gross in the all-time list. And I know it doesn't factor inflation into the equation, but I found it interesting all the same. Everyone was clearly hyped for Episode I, but even building towards the trilogy's finale not as many flocked to Episode III.
#20 Star Wars Episode I
#44 Star Wars Episode III
#57 Star Wars Episode IV

If Minions is number 10, I think anything is possible.

There is no doubt. The reviews are very strong which will mean more multiple viewing by Star Wars fans.

Yeah, Avatar was hyped but nothing at this level. And the ticket presales are beyond anything ever seen.
It is different here. All the early showings on Thursday have been sold out for weeks, but beyond that there are tickets available. But that does not indicate a lack of popularity, it's just the sheer amount of choices available. There are 3 local theaters and I know one of them is showing nothing but this movie on Friday on all screens, all time slots...they have 16 screens alone.

It will be number one I'm sure. I still have no idea how Avatar holds the record, it's a very average movie. The power of fads and good marketing I guess..
