Send it back. eBay sides with the customer in most issues like this.

Unless the seller posted it as no returns accepted and sold as is. These look like scratches and not cracks. Was the head wrapped in anything?

The seller posted as no returns sold as seen but on the images you really couldn't see this and they say it was definitely not like this when sent. Yeah I'm not sure if scratches or cracks, in some light looks like scratches and some more like cracks. But the plastic looks to be quite thick so I'm hoping its scratches and that it can be more easily repaired, I just have to find someone that can help me repair it . The head wasn't wrapped but was in the original cover material. The box had full polystyrene and even the plastic cover for the inner box.

without touching it I would say it looks like stress cracks during shipping. piece is large and heavy and depending on how mad the carrier guys were it's easy to imagine the statue banging around causing the dome to crack. looks like the piece is some kind of plastic material.

Most sellers have some insurance on items they ship. Even if the seller stated no returns, if it was damaged during shipping, as this seems to be, due to it not being like that before and now being like that, then you should be able to come a claim. That way you can get a refund in the amount of the insurance. I'd follow up with the seller or even ebay.

AlwaysAlien, I’m a well known figure/statue seller on EBay. Been doing it for 20 years. You have every right to contact EBay about this issue. The statue obviously was fine when it left the sellers hands but was damaged in the mail. I don’t care if this seller says no refunds. I say that too in my auctions but in the end I work with everyone. Stuff happens. If I could deliver everything by hand I would.

Any seller in this hobby should take out shipping insurance plain and simple. Contact EBay state the seller refuses to refund you the money even though the item was damaged during transit. They will look at his pictures and you show them yours they’ll connect the dots and rule in your favor.

I sold a mint SS LOTR Witch King bust last year. Buyer got it and some dips*** during transit dropped it which forced the metal rod in it through the top of the bust. Item was unfixable. Told him to keep it and gave him a full refund. It happens.

You might want to contact local antique shops to see who they use to repair broken, chipped china and things like lamps.
I had a broken decorative china plate that was in pieces. I contacted a couple of shops and they referred me to a private artist who did their work. It took a couple of weeks but when I got the plate back it was repaired and you couldn't even see the cracks or chips and even the painted parts matched in color and texture. He did amazing work.

If it's the one from the German seller, yeah, just tell eBay that the item does not match what was advertised.

Try to work with the seller, I hate when buyers go crying to eBay and don't bother contacting the seller and give them a chance to work with them. eBay treats sellers like dirt, even just opening a case can have a negative effect on them.
