As much as I'd like more 1/3 scale I don't think Sideshow missed out because...

They'd likely want to Sideshow-ify them

Sideshow already has sufficient market share to strive for more.
1/3's are usually about attention and if Sideshow's customers feel 1/4 isn't/barely is sustainable then 1/3 would be even worse.

Then there's also probably additional licensing and contract work that would be required and the fees to obtain said licenses and contracts.

Not sure why people complain about space or prices in these kinds of threads. Collectors buy 1:1 marble statues that cost tens of thousands to commission and ship. If you don't have the space or can't afford something, don't worry about it.

Nope. 1/3 is too big for the average collector. 1/4 is the perfect size and I believe that's why it's so popular.
