Polystone statues are harder to make?

It all depend son how production goes, if the factories nail the piece first time and approvals with the licensor go quick then statues can come out really quick.
Lets take First 4 Figures for instance their Artorias was 9 months between going up for PO and shipping, a large piece with multiple switchouts and intricate paints, some would argue their best piece to date and all done in 9 months.
On the other hand their Varia suit Samus they put up for order in October of 2016 and then have made many changes to the sculpt, added more lights etc all which needed to be approved by Nintendo so she's been a long time coming and is due to release in the next 6 months, so that's a piece that could end up having taken 2 years.
So lots and lots of factors come into delays and it's not always "this company is perfect and everything ships in 9-12 months" and then "this other company always takes 3 years to ship" even Sideshow with how massive they are compared to other have had pieces come in out after 2+ years. Basically everyone's at the mercy of the factories
Delays for me are fine as long as those delays are communicated, one of the worst things a company can do is go silent, all they need to do is be straight and do constant updates and collectors usually appreciate the honesty.
