It's pretty common in statue making industry yeah. Prime 1's Kinnikuman statue was also delayed.

Yeah this is to be expected, most pieces are delayed, the production factories in China give the estimate date but is almost always delayed, every company has this issue some a lot worse than others, PCS were notorious for their long wait times.

I wouldn't pin your hopes on Lady Maria hitting the June/July target to be honest.

There are times when a statue has a very quick turn over time and is released before the est date, Sideshow do this now and again.

I think Shrunken Head Studios holds the current record, it's been 6 years since their Creepshow Fathers Day figure went up for pre-order and it still hasn't been released.

Gecco's Oscar knight was accurate on it's target. I really like that statue.

Polystone statues are harder to make?

It all depend son how production goes, if the factories nail the piece first time and approvals with the licensor go quick then statues can come out really quick.

Lets take First 4 Figures for instance their Artorias was 9 months between going up for PO and shipping, a large piece with multiple switchouts and intricate paints, some would argue their best piece to date and all done in 9 months.

On the other hand their Varia suit Samus they put up for order in October of 2016 and then have made many changes to the sculpt, added more lights etc all which needed to be approved by Nintendo so she's been a long time coming and is due to release in the next 6 months, so that's a piece that could end up having taken 2 years.

So lots and lots of factors come into delays and it's not always "this company is perfect and everything ships in 9-12 months" and then "this other company always takes 3 years to ship" even Sideshow with how massive they are compared to other have had pieces come in out after 2+ years. Basically everyone's at the mercy of the factories

Delays for me are fine as long as those delays are communicated, one of the worst things a company can do is go silent, all they need to do is be straight and do constant updates and collectors usually appreciate the honesty.

I do agree on this and this delay is ok for me too. I don't mind about this as long as quality of the product is top notch.

I read from other threads that several P1s statues are also delayed e.g. Witcher line.

What comes to Lady Maria art direction, From Software should guide P1 to get rid of that table and candle holder as they do not appear in game.

The table, cup and candlestand are some of the best elements of this piece, I haven't played the game and had no idea about Lady Maria when this was revealed but I ordered it because it looks like a piece of classic museum art.
