1/2 scale Joke with ridiculous shipping

I was looking for a 1/2 scale joker bust and found one on ebay starting at a good price, but check out the ridiculous shipping price. I emailed the seller asking how he can justify that amount, especially when it is parcel post.

he may not have put the price in. Ebay will generate a shipping cost which can be very far off.

most people have no idea what shipping costs anymore. The way I look at it is if you don't like the shipping then don't bid. Its not like you're looking at a 1 of a kind piece. Also a lot of people just take it to the post office. The best way to go is a shipping center that uses everyone. Best deal you can get.

I just got a reply from him asking if I was out of the country. So, there must be something screwed up with the shipping calculator.

so the starting price with shipping is about right ... I personally don't care how you slice it ... money out of my pocket is what I base my buying decisions on.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

It looks like the seller is just trying to avoid paying Ebay fees. This is probably the most blatant example of that I've seen....

I doubt there is anything wrong with the shipping calculator. They'd have to put some insane dimensions/weight to jack up the shipping cost that much.
