I don't care tuppence about edition size, but I would like to see in-hand pieces JUST TO MAKE SURE. Let's see how long we can hold out (because would NOT want to miss out!)

The only way edition size would matter to me is if they were able to reduce the price if they hit a larger ES.
I know that would never happen, but it would be nice.
There seems to be 3 schools of thought on ES.
1.Low ES means the secondary market price will stay high.
2. Low ES makes it rare, I want to have something not many others have or can get, making the one I own special.
3.Giant ES so everyone can have a chance to enjoy the hobby without paying flipper prices.
I am a #3 guy. Giant ES.
As long as I buy the statue I love, I'm fine with it. If that means 50,000 other people can get it at the same price as well then that makes me happy that my fellow collectors can share the same joy as I get. If the resale drops below retail, oh well, most things in life depreciate.
This Jungle Hunter is shaping up to be amazing.
(dare I use the word "grail"?)
I missed out on the 1/3rd CM because I thought it was too expensive when it first hit retail..lol.
This Prime 1 piece affirms the age old adage "good things come to those who wait"

Ian, is your plan to hold out until it starts shipping? If so, would you PO if you see a low stock alert?

Tough question to answer Gary.
I'd like to hold out, but if we get any sense that it COULD sell out, it'll be down to a "gut call" initiated by me, and if my Son confirms, we'll go for it.
I guess we're not ordering now because it could be well over a year until this is shipping, and (given exchange rates) we didn't want to tie up money unnecessarily. That could bite us if things get worse of course!
We're also waiting on Secret Compass getting back to us with a few answers, as those will help us decide if we're ordering from them or direct from PRIME1.
That extra 6.5% duty was the final nail that stopped us buying the PRIME1/CoolProps Dog Alien, I hope it doesn't eventually annoy us enough to back away from the others we have on our radar (PRIME1 Jungle Hunter, PRIME1 City Hunter, CoolProps Kagero 1:1 bust, Infinity Studios Jungle Hunter, Infinity Studios City Hunter).
There's also the medium/long-term concerns about the USA/China trade wars.
Just too many unknowns right now to commit.

All legitimate concerns. Recently I've paid off my XM and Sideshow orders in full for fear of the Dollar crashing. It's been fairly stable for the past year, despite the speculators' concerns.
I'm all in on this one because I've yet to add a Predator piece to my collection, and this would be a nice representation of the P1 design.
I decided to go for the payment plan option because it lessens the sting of a devaluing currency. Who knows what'll happen.

I'm for sure a #2 guy. I enjoy having pieces that only a few others have. And I personally don't care to check out someones collection when it looks like everyone else's, full of the most obtainable and mass produced stuff ever. *YAWN*

Just ordered the victim at Prime1... 337$ shipping costs to Germany... at the moment... Ouch!!!
The DX is ordered at a local store, so at least there arenĀ“t any surprises…
Already own the CM Pred, but this is to good to not own it!
