Wow, your right Cuhan you got hosed on your statue, that is pretty bad....

Im wondering since I got one of the last batches they improved on the quality a bit from the first few batches they used for pre-orders (shrug)... Mines not 100% perfect but its nothing like the picture you posted...

I'm kind of getting the feeling it's not wise to pre-order statues and get the first batches they seem to always have issues that more or less get fixed in later batches of the statue.. more of a observation then factual statement tho.. But it kind of seems that way with SS statues also..

Cuhan, you bring up an interesting point but I have to disagree w/ this statement whole hardly here's why.

For the sake of this discussion I will use Parkers belt line as my point of reference, simply because this should have been a very easy area for the painters.

SS comiquette:

Mind you this is a quater scale piece so the black lines should have been perfect. Not to mention no excuse for smudging of any type.

Koto:

Over spray

Grey Hulk v Spidey Diorama Ex:

Inconsistent thickness and sloppy shadding.

Sideshow, Pop Culture Shock, Bowen & Koto all have their share of poor quality control when it comes to paint and Cuhan is right there really is no excuse for poor paint application when we are purchasing "high end" collectibles.

I agree. We have traded in the past which is why he's giving me such a good price

So with this going up in price recently and me still not having seen it in person i had to dive in and pick it up and luckily got it at an excellent price.

I was waiting for Bowen to do a modern action spidey but it doesn't look like it's happening any time soon.

This is easily the best Spider-man at this scale, very very nicely done and deserves all the praise it gets.

Found him today at a hobby store for $200. I had it paid and out the door before the clerk knew what happened!

Here's some pics...
