god that statue was awful, I owned it for a very short time...
I have no issue at all with the pose but I think a right hand holding a knife like this and a switch out empty left hand would have been perfect

Oh, I completely agree with that. ...And admit to owning that statue too at one time...
In any case, there are just so many people jumping on the SS pose that I'm having a hard time figuring out what iconic pose people would prefer. Seems like Joker didn't really have a defining pose or poses in the film. His scenes were incredible, but I just can't find one moment that seems to capture the breadth of the character.

Probably because it would be in bad taste. It is someone's work, regardless if the art direction for this guy is

Ummm, no. People mock every form of art, even the classics, so having fun with a statue doesn't even register on the bad taste scale.

well for me its just that theres so much going on with this piece that it seems very unfocused and cluttered. hes either holding a card and a gun or a card and a detonator, neither of which make a lot of sense (especially the detonator, I mean whats he supposed to be doing exactly?). then theres the infamous flames... I think having the knife / empty hand combo as described above the pose would have made a little more sense. its weird how something so little can throw off an entire piece
all of this is purely meant to be taken constructively, even despite its flaws I still like it but don't like the ex at all

Yup, lose the cards for the knife. Make the rifle the EX. Done. Combining so many scenes in one piece was a mistake.

I think of the "Hit Me!" pose as pretty iconic. It was on the promotional posters and I recall it featured on some trailers or TV spots. Probably wouldn't make for the most dynamic statue pose so it seems they tried to do a variation of that. I think it works, but just falls apart with the choice of accessories.
I also wouldn't have minded an alternate turned head so this look could be achieved. I always loved that shot and the look on his face.

Oh and instead of flames, maybe scatter some Joker cards on the base.

I would think folks would be excited about having a Ledger Joker PF. However all I am seeing for the most part is a bombardment of complaints .... does it really warrant this much criticism ?
