Teachers have so much extra burden that thrust upon them it's not even funny. You guys do great , and at times greatly underappreciated work. My handful of teacher friends, spanning from college to elementary teachers, and it's allll some sort of struggle. Supplying students with tools to even succeed at an education (because the parents can't afford it) to being looked at as the person who needs to teach discipline. It's all a nightmare. And I feel bad because most teachers really want to help kids succeed -- they just don't have the means to do so.
But you want to talk about a broken pay system -- school superintendents. In Delaware is a HUGE issue where one school - school, not district - has multiple superintendents that all make six figure salaries. Like WTF is that?!
