The way companies treat the Transformers license, my collection is fast becoming an Optimus Prime collection instead of a Transformers collection

And I've said it before, Optimus Prime is my least favourite Transformer.
Agreed. Well, except on the least favorite Transformer being Optimus. But I totally agree with Prime collection sentiment. I understand he's pretty much the face of Transformers now, but I would love to see other characters done, as well. Prowl, Skywarp, Jazz, to name a few.

I understand the Batman Rising Sun line will be open to the US in coming releases. Now how about opening it up for Transformers too? Is there some licensing issues that need to be overcome like it was for the Batman stuff?

Fairly sure IA's Transformer license is stopping this from being released in the USA.

I have never understood the concept of a Transformers statue. I don't get it.

Understandable since a major property of a Transformer is to actually transform. The issue with an actually transforming Transformer is compromises have to be made somewhere to get it to go from the alternative mode to robot mode and vice versa so the robot mode may not be the best representation of the robot and/or the alternative mode may not be the best representation of the alternative mode. With a Transformer done in statue form, companies like XM can focus on the main mode (most likely robot mode) to get the best representation of the Transformer they can do.

Basically, it doesn't transform but it looks damn good!

You basically summarized my thought process. Okay. I love the cartoon and have several of the figures, and yes they have been transformed into robot mode, so I get it.
