I wholeheartedly agree. My point is that I am accustomed to seeing him as a stand-up comedian. It is how I associate him with, so it was a hard adjustment in separating the scoundrel from the comedian. I saw the episode three times now and it got better after each viewing.

Does anyone else hate Baby Yoda? I like the character ok, but the constant internet obsession with him is infuriating. I just feel like he's there to make Mando seem less violent, but mostly to sell toys. Come fight me.

I don't hate Baby Yoda, I do hate what Disney will do with him in the future though. I'm sure there will be a BY cartoon, a BY ride at Disney, BY candy...etc. It will be a lot of stuff that cheapens the show for me.

I'm tired of explaining to people that have little to no knowledge about Star Wars, other than they watched the movies once, talking about how "neat it is" Yoda and Boba Fett knew each other when they were younger. The fact that he is referred to online as Baby Yoda is not helping at all.

I don't have much exposure so following things don't tend to affect me.
1. Other people enjoyment or lack thereof
2. Merchandising or spin offs
3. Actors/Directors/Executives being great or awful
I can't remember the last time someone wanted to talk Star Wars to me. It might as well not exist in my daily life.

I have the issue of working with a bunch of people who look to me as their tech and nerd support. So it happens to me all the time.
