New Bond announced.
Strange choice. Brosnan should be there to make another one at least. I hope this fails big time after the way they treated Brosnan.

Yeah I also read this a couple days ago that Daniel Craig would get the part. I read he passed the audition with flying colours and he very much looked the part. Now we can only wait and see how it does in the next film. But I agree. Roger Moore and Connery played the part well into their late years even to the point of hilarity, and Brosnan still looks like he can push out another flick or 2 but the way they treated him (and after revitilising the franchise, I think he makes a GREAT Bond) he might as well not care what happens afterwards.

He was also great in the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair. I think he could easily have done one more and still look the business. I like Craig but he is unsuited to the part. Clive Owen would be more suitable. Ewan McGregor is in no way suitable to play Bond however he got mentioned.

"Layer Cake" was very goood. I think Craig will deliver on the intensity. Plus, his character had a quirky sense of humor which might translate well to Bond. What they really need is to let the series breathe a little. Let the stories grow some more and throw away some of the strict rules they place on the franchise.

I think he can do it. However, brosnon resurrected a dead franchise mainly because other than connery, HE IS BOND.
but I still love roger moore in the part too.

This is all false actually, our very own moderator, artist and ex-football player kdawg is playing the new james bond I heard. They're going for a whole British "XXX" thing (you know, that movie with vin diesel). Since sony bought out MGM they decided bond was two much of a nancy boy so they felt the need to beef him up a little, and they went with an unkown to keep costs down.
They were going to cast me, but, well, I couldn't quite fit into that astin martin...

Rather than who they picked, I'm more surprised that anyone even cares about James Bond movies anymore!
