Well I finished it and man things really go off the rails in the last episode complete with a bizarre and ridiculous girl power moment. And they did my boy kingpin dirty - AGAIN! Hopefully they do him justice in born again but this is another stinker in the marvel library

Yeah, I agree. The “girl power” thing didn’t seem quite so ridiculous to me (though it was heavy handed) as they needed some kind of redemption or revenge but, overall, this final episode fell flat for me. As disjointed as the first episode was, I felt it was the best of the five episodes.

I posted my rating of the series overall under the TV show thread (7/10). And like the rest of you, the series was really solid - until that final episode.

I didn't view whatever she did to Fisk as "girl power." I took it as the easiest way to represent her powers and ancestry which as we know is important to Native American culture. Not that big a deal to me. It was cheese, but whatever. The issue is that I still don't know what Echo actually did. She didn't "heal" Fisk, she just made him relive his jacked up childhood....OK....and she transferred some fighting/strength to her grandma and cousin....ok....but what is her power set now?

It's always great seeing Fisk. Episode 4 had some twisted parts that really show how evil he is. The ASL Translator...ouch. Really looking forward to Daredevil so I can get some more Fisk and Murdock action.

All of that being said, it was really cool of Disney/Marvel to make it a point to create a strong cast that was racially and physically appropriate. I was very impressed by Alaqua Cox's acting.
