Smile I Blame Sam Wilson!

Well, actually, Dana and Jdh had a hand in this too...

A while back Dana and Sam told me about the beautiful slipcover leather bound HC Marvel Fantastic Firsts book. It's part of Marvel's 1994 Marvel Limited series, most of which have leather covers and some of which have slipcases. The Fantastic First book is just stunning. Jdh sourced it for me on Mile High Comics who was having a killer sale and I got it for a steal (mint condition goes for like $150 and I think I paid around $60).

Well, since then Sam's been prompting me to pick up the other volumes in this series. I've gotten Man Without Fear, Very Best of X-Men, Chris Claremont X-Men Visionaries, Hulk: Future Imperfect (the only non-leather HC), and the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby Silver Surfer. Now I've just won the old Stan Lee book "The Secrets Behind the Comics" which he wrote back in 1944 but was repackaged for the Marvel Limited run:

I think I'm done now, aren't I guys? Are there any more Marvel Limiteds?

(Oh, and Sam, you know I'm busting on you! These look great on my shelf!)

brother, you are just missing two I believe (not the one we thought earlier). There is the X-men famous firsts, and the Frank Miller spiderman (which was reprinted, but the "select" one is leatherbound and all that).

WORD.

I just got that Stan Lee book within the last month or two, and it's a pretty cool book.

Awesome! I'm looking forward to getting it. Did you get this version or the one printed in 1944? I've seen that one up on eBay as well?

Tony, good one.

Honkeys aren't my fault. Someone else has to take the blame for white people.

Except for white women. I likes white women...
