Miss: Spiderwoman. What could've been, should've been. The sculptor seemed to be going for a look (albeit a decent one, in isolation) that didn't seem to fit with the rest of the Bowen standard look and appeal. It was off. I hated to have to pass on this one.

MB:

Hit: Battle Armor Thor - What can I say that hasn't been said about this outstanding piece? There is absolutely nothing wrong with this sculpture. It's darn near perfect... The only criticism I have is that it wasn't a FS!

Miss: Rawhide Kid - Paquet's face was perfect. This is one of those rare times I totally disagreed with RB's choice and found myself scratching my head. I wasn't too crazy about only discovering about the head change long after I paid for it, but that's another story.
I keep going back to the Rawhide Kid bust, even did so just now, to convince myself to buy it out of my love for the Lee/Kirby run on the character, but I just can't do it. The change made to his face from William's original bust are just atrocious. He looks like a zombie in Rawhid Kid clothing. Just incredibly hideous. Such a major disappointment.

Hits all over the place!

Biggest Misses - Doc Ock, Hawkeye, and Mimic MBs.

The change to Rawhide Kid was a mistake but the MB is still good (it was just much better before)

Hits are too many to count. Misses from what I've seen first-hand:

Ultimate Captain America Variant - Love the sculpt, but the statue had too many paint problems.

90's Rogue - Too small and the action pose hides much of the statue from many angles.

90's Storm - Maybe it was fine for its time, but it's small and not very detailed.

Hits FS

Planet Hulk- This thing is loaded with bells and whistles, from the tentacle base to the magnetic shield. One of the greatest Hulk statues EVER!!

M.O.D.O.K.- A great treatment of a C list villain. The detail in the base alone makes it a hit, The face screams Kirby to me every time I look at it. Great statue.

Misses FS

Electro: Night Green Variant- It's one thing to make him a darker green, it's a whole new problem when you ruin his face. the non-variant Electro is great, but something about this one looks stupid.

Kuntz Green Goblin-I see what they were going for. It just doesn't work for me.
