Both Sides of the Blade (2022) - A love triangle story about a woman caught between two men, her long-time partner and his best friend, her former lover.

I watched this because I love Juliette Binoche and while the acting is stellar, I'm not sure the story is big enough to fill an entire movie. 7/10

Poor Things (2023) - The incredible tale about the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter.

Watching this a second time in theaters confirmed it was my favorite film of 2023. 10/10

We binge-watched season one upto four of Justified with Timothy Olyphant as U.S. Marshal.

Very good, with nice varied storylines and good distinct cast. 9/10

American Fiction (2023) - A novelist who's fed up with the establishment profiting from Black entertainment uses a pen name to write a book that propels him into the heart of the hypocrisy and madness he claims to disdain.

I thought it was brilliant--much better, than I expected, since the premise kind of turned me off initially. But it focused more on the protagonist's relationships with family and friends, the movie's biggest strength. 9/10

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

I have not seen it yet but that is sad to hear. I thought the first one was good.

It just premiered on Max and I thought I'd give it a shot. I also enjoyed the first one. This one just felt "phoned in".

I always thought the guy who played Ocean Master looked more like Aquaman.
