I got mine yesterday and just got the chance to open it. It came in one piece~ No cracks or chips. I was worried when I saw the brown box that has ripped out pieces here and there but it survived the trip.
After some look see, I feel that yours definitely took some serious beating during the shipment as the piece is all solid resin and feels rather strong. It's at least twice the weight and no moving parts and just slightly shorter compared with my sd studio version.
I'll post some cell phone pics later when I can. Overall, it's an awesome and must have piece to have for sure. The silver paint on the base to highlight the text is on the sloppy side but it's an easy fix and the casting can be sharper but that's only because I have sd studio version sitting next to it side by side.
