If anyone is interested, Gene Gonzales has opened up his preorder sketch list for Heroescon. I've already gotten in touch with him to arrange sketches for Shanan and myself. In his reply he said that he would be happy to include any additional orders for people who want me to bring back something for them (normally it would only be for attendees, but he is willing to make an exception in this case).
His prices are as follows:
Inked sketches: single figure, on 11" x 17" Bristol Board: $50.00
Acrylic painted: single figure on 12" x 16" (approximate size): $150.00
Canson pieces: single figure on 11" x 17": $150.00.
For anyone who hasn't dealt with Gene before, you can see examples of his work at http://genegonzales.blogspot.com/
If you're interested, drop me a PM.

Pretty good thanks mate.
Yeah, Gene does great work at a very reasonable cost. I've already ordered a pen and ink Oracle for Shanan, and an acrylic painted Nova or Quasar for myself. Feel free to send me a PM if you want me to pick you up something.

I think for $50, he'd do a decent batman, which is what i'm thinking of getting...
I've attached his examples from his blog, which Wrothy directed us to look at....

Yeah, the head sketch was one that he put up on his blog at one stage when he was doing a bunch of sketches on grey card for fun - it's 9x12. I snapped that up quick smart.
If you're interested in something like that, I can always drop Gene a line and see if he would be willing to do one and at what price.

It's funny that his head sketches seem to have more details (line work), which I love.
His full figures are pretty damn awesome...I'm just trying to think of a character atm...
Wrothy, what do you think if he did a full figure modern iron man?
here's an example of one of the older iron mans...
