Firing Alonso was a start, but only a start. Brevoort needs to have his fat ass kicked to the curb as well, Quesada needs the boot too. Then....after they admit that they did ridiculous stunts and apologize for being complete idiots, then I may consider picking up some new stuff from them.
I agree about Brevoort. His social media rantings are intolerable, as your follow-up posts show. Piss on your fans and customers? What a great idea, Tom, you complete moron. He needs to have his ass kicked to the curb. As for Quesada? I’m not so sure. He helped Marvel steer itself creatively from the brink of bankruptcy and titles under him had much of the Marvel feel, even for people who didn’t like Bendis. Marvel lost me once Axel took over as EIC, I think after AvX which was the steep drop into the crap hole out of which Marvel never arose, with the exception of Jason Aaron’s excellent run on The Mighty Thor

There have been some bright spots here and there in Marvel, I admit. Quesada has had his moments, and I'm not angry at him like I am with Brevoort or Alonso, but he was a main player in the down turn in Marvel comics over the last few years. I wish he would have remained an artist. I may be wrong about this, but wasn't he the idea man for the Spider Man, One More Day story? From what I've read, that event really put off a ton of Spidey fans.

Glass half-full argument: The powers that be could've given the reins to Brevoort; he was technically next in line.

The mere fact that Cebulski got handed the wheel suggests that the execs are tired of this political poop Alonso/Brevoort were pulling and want to see sales jump back to the usual highs.

Again, I agree that Brevoort needs to leave for the trust to return completely, but until that happens, I'm willing to meet Cebulski halfway.

Even if the new toothless characters aren't going away, I bet we won't see the established guys being bastardized anymore. That's a start. As long as they don't shove pointless propaganda down our throat by using name-stealers as their mouthpieces, I can consider reading their stuff again.

Yeah, had never really followed nor listened to this Tom Brevoort guy 'til Mr H put up those two quotes. What a steamin' turd. Almost worth a Marvel Boycott alone. I had no idea.

Maybe they should follow the trend of the MCU and put more comedy/humor in the books. Seems to work for their movies.

I thought you didn't like the amount of comedy/humor in Marvel films.
