The silver lining is now they have some unsolicited feedback if the proto is still close to this version. XM will do right by Wolvie. I’m sure this is an early stage portrait. It is very Wolvampire-ish.

I saw the pics earlier ...before they were taken down. And I have to say ...I agree with your assessment, D.
I would also add that his thighs looked off a tad. I'm thinking that was a very rough draft of the sculpt. It just didn't look refined.

Ok, found this older concept art that was posted at the XM STGCC 2016 booth. IMO what they have changed is for the worse. This is a more natural launching/lunging pose....
And there is no cowboy belt buckle
