Wolverine through the years

These are old Wolverine's and Wolverine related sketches from over the years. Most of them are in Super Sculpey, a couple are Paperclay. Thanks for looking.

these were going to be bookends and were very small for us.

armature for bust, looks like paperclay

Ok for the fans out there this is the first comic book character ever sculpted by either Brandon or I, even before the howling Wolverine (which is usually called the firtst because it is in sculpey). It's a terra cotta /water based clay over coathangers Colossus. We re-created the exact same scenario later in Sculpey which was Colossus holding Wolverine back from going to fight the Juggernaut, while ripping off his shirt. Basically us reliving the bar fight scene classically illustrated by John Romita around issue 172.

The howling Wolverine, first piece of white Sculpey we baked and painted. If you ever wondered what did the Shiflett Bros first stuff look like, this is it.

again looks like paperclay

These are actually made in Billy Mayes Mighty Putty

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I love this one.
but I'm still a little upset that you opted to change it... even though the piece you turned it into is pretty awesome as well...
