As per my usual when I buy a page I really like, I have prematurely added a piece to my CAF gallery. Paid for, but not received yet...heh.
Somebody in CAF chat linked to this lot on the recent Heritage Auction and I had to have it. The artist was listed as an unknown "Marvel Artist", but as far as I could figure out, it is pencilled by Leonard Kirk, and inked by Kris Justice. The piece was for an article titled "Bring On the New Bad Guys" and featured some of the important villains in that year's storylines. Most importantly for me, it features Gamora, all Phalanx'd out as she was in the Annihilation: Conquest story. It also features Sin (daughter of Red Skull), Gambit, The Mandarin (I think?), Mr. Fear, Ragnarok, The Hood, and a Skrull. Super glad I was able to win this piece and add it to my collection.
