And we told Rynn he should attend Arizona's con next year. If that happens, you have us to thank.

From an art perspective, this year’s C2E2 was awesome. Artist alley was filled with incredible talent.

For this year’s con, I had two goals in mind:
1. Finish up a couple of jam &
2. Meet Hulk Hogan

By the end of Saturday, I can happily say that my mission was accomplished!

It was great to hangout with old friends (Octavio and Pastor) and also meet a few other boardies that I hadn’t met before (Bill, Josh & Felix). It was also fun to grab some pieces for Cam and Vincent!

Sounds like Bleeding Cool may publish my con report – I’ll provide the link when / if it’s up. In the meantime here is my art bounty from the show (apologies in advance for the bad pics)!

Finale of my ‘Women of the DC Universe’ by none other than the incredibly talented and hard to get Mr. Mark Brooks doing a killer job on Hawkgirl!! With Brooks, JSC, Dodson, Ebas, and Rouxe all in one piece, this is absolute grail status for me.

Finale of my ‘Marvel Jam’ with the legendary Mr. Lee Weeks closing out with a massive Hulk!

The start of my ‘Women of X-men’ jam with new talent Sajad Shah doing an awesome Savage Land Rogue.

I had to get a precon piece from Lee Weeks – of course it had to be Batman. Mr. Weeks is an incredibly nice person and an amazing talent. If you don’t have a piece by him you definitely should consider getting one (I darkened out Cam's piece so he can do his reveal when ready).

Dan Jurgens is the Superman artist for me. I was super lucky to get on his list and feel honored to have a full piece by Dan in my collection.

Mahmud Asrar is an incredible artist. After the killer job that he did on a Batgirl a year ago for me, I had to have another piece by him. This time – Poison Ivy.

Another person who’s list I was lucky to get on was Lee Bermejo. His Joker is iconic so of course I had to get one from him. The guy was killing all of his commissions!

Dustin Nguyen is a modern master. I’m sure I will get detractors, but Lil Gotham is arguably the best Batman book out there. The guy is pure genius and I wish he would open up his commission list so I can get something else from him. In the meantime I settled for a quickie headsketch on my headsketch jam. Dustin is also a class act and gave our baby her first piece of artwork – a free print of his!

I had a couple of jams that I felt needed a splash of color. So I made some copies of the jams at Kinko’s and had Jeff Balke add some color to them. He went a little bold on the pallet but its nice to see some of the more colorful characters actually have color!

Nothing like having an art shipment show up during con weekend! This beauty by Brett Booth showed up on my doorstep on Friday. Brett is an unabashed Flash lover so having Brett + Flash is magic. This is also the OA to some of his con prints.

And finally…Hogan…Hogan…Hogan! Hulkamania, Wrestlemania, and WWF were a big part of my childhood. So to meet the legend was definitely a treat for me. I had him autograph my wrestling jam (unfortunately I haven’t found the right artist yet to do the hulkster!)

And that’s all for my art haul! I picked up some incredible pieces for Cam which hopefully he will get soon and Vinny has already posted his pickups on CAF.

Thanks for taking a look!
