I think I'm set on Lobo with the Sideshow PF and Prime 1/3 so this is a pass. They'll probably keep the price down to $800-900 since they're putting this up without any build-up and hype, but it's still an unnecessary release.

I understand getting multiple versions of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, but Lobo? I don't know why Sideshow wastes their resources on pieces like this when they know damn well people are waiting for popular characters that they've never done.

This makes no sense, during 12 days of Sideshow there was no mention of a new Lobo. I wonder if they are starting to struggle with most selling most of the new pieces so they go back to what sells and keep churning out Superman, Batman and Spiderman knowing that anyone new into the hobby will buy at least one PF and that will most likely be their favourite character. Lobo makes sense for anyone new into the hobby as the Prime 1 piece is way out of most new collectors budgets. This is a worrying trend as collectors hoping to continue with trying to put a collection of Spiderman villans or an entire Justice League set are never going to be able too, if you look at the evidence of another Lobo being released. I would love a PF of Iron Fist but other than XM, I doubt that SS will make one, as he is not a popular character for Marvel.

So this week is a Lobo repeat and a repainted Little Mermaid variant.

Way to go Sideshow.

Is Lobo a big seller? I always saw him as C-Tier character in DC catalog, but maybe I'm wrong and he has a big following.

Sideshow does the same group of characters over and over. I know they won't ever be like Bowen releasing allot of obscure characters but damn. If I see one more Iron Man, Batman or Boba Fett I'm going to kill myself.

honestly i think these companies like doing lobo pieces because its fun for them, every lobo statue seems like they didnt pull any punches. its like a free pass do whatever you can think of - which i totally understand how that would be incredible as an artist. hell look at this thing, a three barreled keytar gun? lol

people recognize that creativity and it being something totally different that does look really awesome and pick it up for that reason. its probably a safe bet to say a lot of people who own the og pf or have the P1 on order maybe never even read a lobo book but you cant deny they would both enhance a collection

but man... come on SS i love ya but at least give us a new character to go with a revisit to soften the retread a little

It does seem like overkill but that's pretty bad ass looking.

Honestly there are very few Lobo statues that I don't like.

I like them, too, but I don't order them. Just not a character that I need in my collection.
